Valentine Snow finish.

Image
I’ve finished the Bronwyn Hayes quilt in time for it to be a Valentine present for hubby. Today he surprised me with a couple of bunches of daffodils from Lidl. It’s been an odd year as I’ve had them blooming in the garden in mid December! Today I noticed red anemones out there. This is definitely an odd weather year so far.

Snowy Makes

I’ve spent most of January working on a Bronwyn Hayes BOM published in Aussie Homespun in 2013. There are 4 blocks left to hand sew before assembling it. We’ve had a little snow so it didn’t feel too weird making it. Of course I went off season making 6 raspberry batik lavender bags, and a cute elf house themed journal cover. I keep thinking of Spring. Little update: the last 4 blocks. Tomorrow I get to assemble the quilt!

I very rarely post about current news events but this story has me worried. A lot of people in the UK have been wondering why Ellie Yarrow-Sanders fled with her son Ollie during family court proceedings for custody. Mainstream papers haven’t published the letter she left to her family in full. I found it here . I can fully understand now why she fled. She was only 18 and he 37 when their relationship began and he controlled every aspect of it. There is a petition site asking that her full letter be allowed to be published. https://www.change.org/p/high-court-allow-ellie-yarrow-sanders-story-to-be-published There is also a link as her ex partner Patrick Sheridan is now targeting her family with court action. https://www.gofundme.com/justice-for-ellie-yarrow-and-olly?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=fb_dn_cpgntopstickysmall_r
