Tweedy Halloween

I finally finished my 1940s tweed jacket. I was inspired by The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society film outfits. The book was even better and led to me trying to eat with ration quantities this week. The fabrics were both vintage stash ones. The only thing I had to but was shoulder pads.
Another Cathedrals cushion cover has been  finished.
I saw Terry Pratchett’s Death Rat in a shop window display for Halloween. I had to take a photo.
Happy Halloween!

Your tweed jacket looks great! I like the Cathedral windows in this version better than the multi coloured, but I guess so do you.

LOVE the tweedy jacket and pillow and I agree completely about the Gurnsey book being better than the movie -- although I loved the movie too. (They should have done it as a mini-series -- had to cut out too much, even though if you didn't know, you wouldn't mind.)

The jacket is FABULOUS! A tweedy jacket is a classic and will last you probably the rest of your life. ;) LOL... You did, as always, beautiful work. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society book was sooo GOOD! I can't stop thinking about, and wanting to learn more about the WW 2 time period. I'm with Jeanie, instead of chopping up the book to make a shorter movie, a TV series would have been VERY nice! Hope you had a SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN ((HUGS))
